May 2012 Update

Hello loyal RIV friends! Happy to announce our plans to release a new single. We've spent the last several months writing and demoing new material and have decided to release one of our new babies out in to the wild at the end of June. We're heading to Weed, CA May 31st to, again, to record with Sylvia Massy. Extremely excited about this song!
Touring-In June, Michael Shapiro will be doing a solo acoustic run hitting Southern CA as well Nevada. RIV is putting together a fall tour. Details for both coming soon.
Stay tuned and turn it up loud...sounds better that way!

We are excited to announce another local show co-headlining with Miles Schon at George's Night Club in San Rafael. Mario Cipollina will be joining us on bass guitar and we will rock the night away showcasing new songs not yet released as well as all your RIV favorites. Maybe even a few covers?

Gobble gobble behind us and HO...HO...HO...ahead of us, 2011 is winding down. RIV has had an amazing year thanks to all of the support of our friends and music lovers. We definitely made a lot of new friends this year with all the touring and we look forward to the same in 2012. In addition to the continued touring, we are dedicated to releasing a new album in 2012.

Sunday, Dec 4th, RIV, is again, rockin' with Peter Murphy at The Fillmore in SF, CA. We'll be opening the show, so GET THERE EARLY! Also on the bill is She Wants Revenge and Hussle Club.
